OAKLAND (CBS SF) — An early-morning collision killed one passenger and injured three other people Saturday in East Oakland, according to police.
The crash, which occurred around 12:20 a.m. in the vicinity of 106th Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard, involved a Nissan Altima and a Ford Mustang.
Police had apparently been in the area responding to reports of a sideshow, but Officer Johnna Watson said that the crash was not necessarily connected.
“There’s no evidence at this time that it appears to be related to sideshow activity,” Watson said.
Further details were not immediately available.
